The end is near, and here’s a quick recap at some of my favorite looks from 2014!

This year has been filled with a lot: happiness, stress, sadness, spontaneity, new jobs, great memories with friends, etc.  Although His Laboratory is only six months old, it has definitely been a great venture so far, and I look forward to seeing what happens next in the new year.  A huuuge thank you to everyone who has been a part of His Laboratory!

I hope everyone has a fun and safe evening.  Remember to not drink and drive.  Cheers!

Inspired By

I draw my inspiration from many different avenues.  I’m inspired by my always-changing environment, music I listen to, friends, family, and/or art; even rubbish inspires me.

The FW 2014 Burberry Prorsum show is what inspired this look.  Look 24 spoke to me, and instead of mimicking the look exactly, I decided to mix things up: pairing a print with stripes.  I also wanted to play with textures with this look––visual texture from the print of the shirt and the physical texture of the tennis courts and grass.

What are you inspired by?

Warm and Fuzzy

I’ve been layering up lately, and it’s been happening with this warm and fuzzy jumper.

Although Topman is sometimes hit-and-miss for me, I scored this Topman Lux jumper.  The nylon rib is what caught my eye first––then the felted body.  It’s those small details that make me feel some type of way.  Even when I try to steer away from blues and darker colors of the spectrum, I always seem to end up adding those colors to my wardrobe.  I guess we can say it’s sorta my “brand” lately.

I hope everyone has a happy, safe, and memorable Christmas (if you celebrate it).  Cheers!
