Monthly Archives: July 2015

Although I’m no DJ––a guy can dream, this playlist will get you hotter than the summer while you’re poolside or inside (the pool) or wherever the fuck you are 😉

I put together a mix of EDM-esque beats and some calmer indie tracks for you to enjoy your booze, floaty beds, and friends. Wrapping up the playlist with a cover, it might be my summer jam with its island vibes.

!!! – One Girl/ One Boy

Oliver – MYB

Valentino Khan – Deep Down Low (Original Mix)

Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs – Waulking Song

Da Chick – Lotta Love

Munk – Happiness Juice

Hot Chip – Need You Now

Superhumanoids – Norwegian Black Metal

Ben Browning – Friends of Mine (Wild & Free Remix)

Major Lazer – Lost feat. MØ (Frank Ocean Cover)

How’s your summer going so far? xx

Back Here

If you’re thinking about the BBMak track, you’re correct.

For those of you who are too young to know what record I’m referring to, have a listen here. “Back Here” was the one hit of English pop group, BBMak, back in 2000––aka my jammm. I spent the afternoon in the Arts District exploring more of what it had to offer. I ended up picking up a bandana from Apolis‘ Surplus Market and popped into Matteo to look at some bedding while enjoying its interiors.

When photographing looks, I usually tend to keep things minimal, so here, I ended up shooting against a wall on the corner 3rd Street and Santa Fe Ave. The colors couldn’t have come out any better. It’s almost as if I was dressed for the part, which I will add that no location was scouted prior to photographing this look 😉

What are some of your favorite shops/eateries in Los Angeles, or what’s a place you’ve stumbled upon that ended up being magical? I’d love to experiment with them myself x

It seemed to be the color of the holiday.

I spent my Fourth of July in San Diego this year, and the weekend’s festivities included gay bars, brunch, and Mexican food––oh, and salted pepper chicken wings from Golden Chopsticks.  After making a quick stop at Vons, this “strawberry” color seemed to be more common than the expected red for the holiday.  Aside from myself, I saw several others sporting you guessed it… strawberry.  I also ran into an old friend from the IE (who was also wearing this strawberry color) at the Vons in North Park.  Hi Alyna!

I went with a neutral palette but also decided to throw on this strawberry ringer tee for a little bit of color, and I think I have finally decided to retire my old Zara shoes :O PS These chinos make my butt look cute too.  Eyy!

How did you spend your holiday weekend?
